Rental economics, capital structures and the evidence that can support a continuing deployment programme.
Abstract
GPU-backed lending already exists. The research opportunity is not to invent financing, but to make the delivery facts supporting it easier to establish, review and reuse across a project's life. This paper combines documented financing precedents, advertised GPU rental observations and two transparent financial sensitivities with a proposed evidence-to-decision framework. It distinguishes available capacity, billable service, collected cash and recoverable collateral. The proposed CANUS contribution is a continuing programme connecting participating businesses, independent delivery findings and recipient-specific requirements. The analysis shows why price, utilisation and contract conditions must remain separate, and identifies measurable tests for reduced customer burden. It does not establish financing availability, institutional adoption or a market-wide superiority claim.
Provenance & verification
Each file is published with a fixed fingerprint and independent timestamps. The commands below reproduce the checks.
Integrity — SHA-256
sha256sum -c CANUS_Research_05_Financing_GPU_Infrastructure.pdf.sha256
Confirms the download is byte-for-byte the published file.
Timestamp — RFC-3161
openssl ts -verify -in CANUS_Research_05_Financing_GPU_Infrastructure.pdf.tsr -data CANUS_Research_05_Financing_GPU_Infrastructure.pdf \ -CAfile freetsa-cacert.pem -untrusted freetsa-tsa.crt
An independent authority (FreeTSA) signed the file's hash. 'Verification: OK' means the exact file existed no later than the token's timestamp.
Timestamp — OpenTimestamps
ots verify CANUS_Research_05_Financing_GPU_Infrastructure.pdf.ots
A Bitcoin-anchored record, once the calendar confirms it into a block.
Each file is published unaltered and independently notarised; the exact notarisation time is contained in the downloadable token. Dates are evidenced by the public records each paper cites, not by file metadata.
Filed methodology
This research supports the independent-verification methodology CANUS has protected with three provisional patent applications on IP Australia's public register.
